Thanks Doc!
Hi guys. This is a problem that I have had for a long time. I have tried ALL the fixes on the internet and after a LONG time fiddling with nHancer I managed to hit the sweet spot. So here are my settings if anyone with NVIDIA cards are having trouble:
AA: 8xS,Gamma,TranspSS8
AF: App
VSync: On TripleBuffer+
Perf: HiQual
Trilin-
AnisoSam-
NegLOD: Clamp
DXT3-
MipMap:None
CPU:MultiCore
Prerender: 2
Hope this helps. I have almost no shimmering now with excellent frame rates. But to be honest I tried everyone elses settings on the net, I think the thing is you need to change settings slowly on your system until you hit the sweet spot.
For example if I go higher than 8S AA then I start to get poor AA and shimmering again.
EDIT: I was using 196.21 drivers.

hey thanks . . . it worked .
Glad it helped guys but here is some more information:
If you upgrade your nVidia driver to 258.96 (the latest one). You will notice that the in game AA does not work anymore. This is because nHancer does not work with nVidia drivers 250 and up. So you need to MANUALLY set this up using the nVidia control panel.
I am sure with the next version of nHancer this will be fixed though.
The easy way to check for flickering is to load the night landing mission and look at the stars...
